JACKSON COUNTY – Permit work for utility operations will require a lane closure on westbound U.S. Route 40 at Little Blue Parkway in Independence. Work is expected to take place on approximately Tuesday, March 11 until Friday, March 28 between 8 am and 4 pm. All work is weather permitting.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
