JACKSON COUNTY –Litter clean-up will require various lane and ramp CLOSURES near downtown Kansas City. Crews with the Downtown Council Community Improvement District (CID) will lead the litter clean-up operations on I-670 and I-70, March 10-13. The partnership between MoDOT KC and the CID is part of MoDOT KC’s roadside initiatives program to address litter and provide resources to the unsheltered on state roadways.
Monday, March 10, 9 a.m.- 2:30 p.m.
- Ramp closure, EB I-670 to Central St.
Tuesday, March 11-Thursday, March 13, 9 a.m.- 2:30 p.m.
*Clean-up will take place as part of a mobile operation along the following corridors
- Various intermittent single lane and ramp closures EB/WB I-670 from U.S. 71 to I-35.
- Various intermittent single lane and ramp closures on EB/WB I-70 from the Kansas state line to Benton Blvd. exit
Motorists are advised to plan ahead and be vigilant of work in the area. All work is weather permitting. Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
