Commission Awards Contracts for Projects in Northeast District

HANNIBAL – During its regular meeting on March 5, the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded the following contracts for bridge replacements, bridge painting, and resurfacing projects in the Northeast District. 

  • A $1.8M contract was awarded to Gene Haile Excavating, Inc., for a bridge replacement project on Route J in Macon County, over Mussel Fork, 0.03 mile east of the Linn County line, near New Boston.
  • A $13.7M contract was awarded to Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. for bridge replacement projects in Montgomery and Warren counties at the following locations:
    • Route A - Over I-70 near Pendleton in Warren County
    • Route E - Over I-70 in Jonesburg in Montgomery County
  • A $3.9M contract was awarded to Gene Haile Excavating, Inc. for bridge replacement projects in Montgomery County at the following locations:
    • Route K - Over Dry Fork Creek, 1.8 miles west of Missouri Route 19, near Big Spring
    • Route K - Over Loutre River, 0.4 mile west of Missouri Route 19, near Big Spring
  • A $370,424 contract was awarded to Omega Coatings & Construction, LLC for a bridge painting project in Pike and Ralls counties at the following locations:
    • Route D - Bridge over U.S. Route 61 in Eolia in Pike County
    • Route D - Bridge over Lick Creek, 1.2 miles west of Missouri Route 19, in Ralls County
  • A $514,431 contract was awarded to Omega Coatings & Construction, LLC for a bridge painting project in Clark and Knox counties at the following locations:
    • U.S. Route 136 - Bridge over BNSF Railway, 0.21 mile west of South Street, in Medill in Clark County
    • Missouri Route 11 - Bridge over North Fork South Fabius River, 1.4 miles west of Missouri Route 15, near Baring, in Knox County
    • Missouri Route 156 - Bridge over North River, 0.28 mile west of Missouri Route 15, near Novelty in Knox County
    • Route P - Bridge over BNSF Railway, 3.23 miles south of Missouri Route 11, near Kenwood in Knox County
  • A $11.2M contract was awarded to Magruder Paving, LLC, for a resurfacing project on Westbound U.S. Route 36, from 0.5 mile west of Route Z near Monroe City in Marion County to 0.3 mile west of the Macon County line near Clarence
