Lane and ramp closures scheduled for various locations on I-70 in Kansas City, March 3-4

JACKSON COUNTY – Crews will make the following closures for geotechnical scoping work at various locations along eastbound and westbound Interstate 70 in Kansas City.

Monday, March 3 from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. (approximately)

  • Crews will close the SB left lane through lane and SB left turn lane on Van Brunt Blvd. under the I-70 bridges.

Tuesday, March 4 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.

  • Crews will close the WB I-70 on-ramp from Benton Blvd.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
