SALINE COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be performing periodic lane closures on Interstate 70 near mile marker 81.6 as crews rebuild the Lemon Trail bridge over the interstate. The previous bridge was removed in January 2025. Construction on the new bridge will begin on Mon., Mar. 3 and is expected to be completed by Aug. 2025. Lemon Trail will remain closed during construction. All work is weather permitting.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
