JACKSON COUNTY – Crews will make the following closures for geotechnical scoping work at various locations along eastbound and westbound Interstate 70 in Kansas City.
Tuesday, Feb. 25 from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. (approximately)
- The EB I-70 exit ramp to U.S. 40 will be closed.
- The EB I-70 on-ramp from U.S. 40 will be closed.
Wednesday, Feb. 26 from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. (approximately)
- Left lane closure on EB I-70 from west of Jackson Ave. to east of Oakley Ave.
Thursday, Feb. 27 from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. (approximately)
- Right lane closure on WB I-70 from Truman to Benton Ave.
- Right lane closure on WB I-70 exit ramp to Van Brunt.
Friday, Feb. 28 from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. (approximately)
- Ramp from EB I-70 to Van Brunt Blvd. will be closed.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
