Planned Road Work for Mid-Missouri

Feb. 24 - March 2, 2025

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The following is a list of general highway maintenance and construction work planned in the mid–Missouri area Feb. 24 – March 2, 2025. Weather conditions may postpone scheduled work. Many projects will include lane closures which could cause delays.     

All Counties

Moving operations such as pothole patching, brush cutting, and pavement repairs continue in various locations. Motorists should travel with care and be alert for slow-moving equipment.

All work is weather permitting, and schedules are subject to change.

Boone County

U.S. Route 63 – Bridge construction continues on U.S. Route 63 between the Broadway overpass and Conley Road underpass in Columbia. U.S. Route 63 will remain open but in a head-to-head configuration with narrowed lanes and reduced speeds. This traffic pattern is expected to be in place through late 2025. The bridge construction is part of the Improve I-70 program. Learn more at modot.org/improvei70/columbiakingdomcity.

Interstate 70 – New pavement construction continues in Columbia from Route B (Paris Road) to U.S. Route 63 through January 2027 as part of the Improve I-70 program. Motorists can expect intermittent and long-term lane closures for the duration of the project. Learn more at modot.org/improvei70/columbiakingdomcity.

Callaway County

Route A – Culvert replacement planned Feb. 27 – 28 from County Road 1006 to County Road 1011. The road will be CLOSED 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.

I-70 – Work under the railroad bridge in Kingdom City begins Feb. 26. One lane of I-70, in both directions, will be closed nightly 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday through Saturday, between mile markers 147.4 and 148, immediately west of U.S. Route 54. Nightly lane closures will continue through the end of March.

I-70 – New pavement construction continues from the Boone County line (near mile marker 136.6) to Kingdom City (near mile marker 145) as part of the Improve I-70 Program. Camden County

Route TT – Culvert replacement planned Feb. 27 from Pisces Drive to Three Oaks Drive. The road will be CLOSED 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Route MM – Toll booth removal continues. Route MM will remain open throughout the project but will be narrowed to one lane at times. Motorists should expect delays. The project is scheduled for completion in May 2025.

Cooper County

I-70 – Core drilling planned Feb. 24 – 28 on westbound I-70 from mile marker 113 to 113.2. The driving (right) lane will be closed nightly, 8 p.m. to 7 a.m.

I-70 – Core drilling planned Feb. 25 on eastbound I-70 from mile marker 101.2 to 101.6. The driving (right) lane will be closed 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Route Z – Brush cutting planned Feb. 25 – 28. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Crawford County

I-44 – Pavement repairs planned Feb. 24 – 28, westbound only, from mile marker 224 in Sullivan to Exit 214 west of Bourbon.

Missouri Route 8 – Roadside work planned Feb. 24 – 28 from Long Springs Road to Route T. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Missouri Route 19 – Roadside work planned Feb. 24 – 28 from Route HH to KP Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Missouri Route 49 – Roadside work planned Feb. 24 – 28 from Route 19 to Route Y. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Dent County

Route 19 – Roadside work continues at Standing Rock Creek, south of Route N, as part of a bridge replacement project. Motorists can expect intermittent lane closures for the duration of the work, which is expected to be complete in May 2025.

Howard County

Routes H and O – Roadside work planned Feb. 24 – 28. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Moniteau County

Route F – Culvert replacement planned Feb. 25 – 27 from Lone Oak Road to Schatzer Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Morgan County

Missouri Route 52 – Pavement work continues in Versailles between Fairgrounds Road and Missouri Route 5 as part of the intersection improvement project at Route 52 and Route 5. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2025.

Osage County

U.S. Route 63 – Core drilling planned Feb. 24 – 27 from Missouri Route 133 to County Road 501. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Missouri Route 89 – Pavement repairs planned Feb. 24 – 27 from Route HH to Route FF. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Phelps County

Outer Road 44 – Bridge maintenance planned Feb. 24 – 28 west of St. James. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Missouri Route 68 – Culvert replacement planned Feb. 24 – 28 at Route NN. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route BB – Drainage work planned Feb. 24 – 28 from Carson Street to Helen Street. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route T– Roadside work planned Feb. 24 – 28. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Pulaski County

Route 133 – Roadside work planned Feb. 24 from the city of Crocker to the city of Dixon. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route C – Culvert replacement planned Feb. 24 – 28 in the city limits of Dixon. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Routes D and HH – Roadside work planned Feb. 24 – 28 in various locations. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Washington County

Route C – Culvert replacement planned Feb. 24 – 28 at Route JJ. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
