Where: Northbound U.S. Route 65 CLOSED at Night north of Missouri Route 14 (Jackson Street) in Ozark
When: 10 p.m. Sunday, March 2, to 6 a.m. to Monday, March 3
What: Contractor crews will install a storm drain pipe under U.S. Route 65 as part of the U.S. Route 65 Highway Widening in Christian County project. To begin work, Northbound Route 65 lane closures will begin at 7 p.m. Sunday night, March 2. Both lanes of northbound Route 65 CLOSED begin at 10 p.m. Sunday, March 2, and continue until 6 a.m. Monday morning, March 3. Work was RESCHEDULED from February 23 due to construction delays.
Traffic Impacts:
- Northbound Route 65 lane Closures will begin at 7 p.m. Sunday night, March 2, north of Route 14 (Jackson Street) in Ozark
- Northbound Route 65 full CLOSURE will begin at 10 p.m. Sunday, March 2, and continue until 6 a.m. Monday morning, March 3, north of Route 14 (Jackson Street)
- Drivers will encounter law enforcement present to direct traffic from northbound Route 65 to Route 14 (Jackson Street) during the northbound Route 65 Closure
- Southbound Route 65 is Open to two 10-foot lanes
- No signed detours; drivers are urged to find alternate routes
- Signs and message boards will alert drivers to work zone and inform the public when there are reduced speeds and traffic delays
- Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts
