JACKSON COUNTY – Crews will make the following closures for geotechnical scoping work along the Interstate 70 corridor near downtown Kansas City.
Tuesday, Jan. 28 from 7 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. (approximately)
- The outside lanes in both directions will be closed on the 27th St. bridge over I-70. The inside lanes will remain open.
Wednesday, Jan. 29 from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. (approximately)
- The Lister Ave. Bridge will be closed over I-70.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
