Single lane of southbound U.S. Route 63 in Columbia closing for emergency pavement repairs

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – For the safety of the traveling public, construction crews working with the Missouri Department of Transportation are in the process of closing one lane of southbound U.S. Route 63 in Columbia. This lane closure, in the current work zone, is for emergency pavement repairs and is anticipated to remain in place until 8 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18.

Drivers traveling in Columbia on southbound U.S. Route 63 south of Interstate 70 should consider alternate routes. Motorists are encouraged to give themselves extra time to travel through this area as backups are expected.

Drivers are reminded to slow down and pay attention in work zones. Buckle Up. Phone Down.
