MoDOT: U.S. Route 160, Missouri Route 13 & Missouri Route 248 Roundabout Project in Reeds Spring

Focus of Public Meeting Thursday, January 23

Reeds Spring, Stone County – Those interested in the U.S. Route 160, Missouri Route 13 and Missouri Route 248 Roundabout Project in Reeds Spring are invited to a public meeting to discuss the traffic impacts during construction and project information on Thursday, January 23, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

The come-and-go style meeting will be held 4:30 – 6 p.m., Thursday, January 23, at the Reeds Spring High School District Learning Center 20277 MO-413, Reeds Spring. No formal presentation is planned. Those who attend may come at any time between 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. to learn about the project and ask questions.

Project highlights:

  • Build roundabout at U.S. Route 160, Missouri Route 13, Missouri Route 248 & Dogwood Tree Road north of Reeds Spring to improve safety and traffic flow
  • Approximately 12,000 vehicles per day use the intersection

Traffic impacts during construction:

  • Traffic impacts will be discussed such as staged construction to allow for all movements through the intersection during all phases
  • Electronic message boards and news releases will notify the public of traffic impacts
  • Drivers urged to use alternate routes during construction to avoid the work zone

Construction is scheduled to begin in January 2025.

The estimated project cost is $2.1 million.
