Kansas City area maintenance work for Dec. 30- Jan. 3

LEE’S SUMMIT, MO – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be performing maintenance work throughout the Kansas City region from Dec. 30 – Jan. 3. All work is weather permitting. 

JACKSON COUNTY 

EB/WB Interstate 70 between Paseo and Manchester: intermittent lane closures on Mon., Dec. 30, Tues., Dec. 31, and Thurs., Jan. 2 from approximately 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. each day for barrier wall repair.  

Zummalt Rd. between F Hwy and 50 Hwy: intermittent lane closures on Mon., Dec. 30, Tues., Dec. 31, Thurs., Jan. 2, and Fri., Jan. 3 from approximately 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. each day for brush cutting.  

EB/WB I-70 between Missouri Hwy 291 to around Oak Grove: intermittent lane closures on Thurs., Jan. 2 and Fri., Jan. 3, from approximately 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. for pothole repair.  

JOHNSON COUNTY 

Route UU between Route M and NW 501 Rd.: full closure on Mon., Dec. 30, Tues., Dec. 31, Thurs., Jan. 2, and Fri., Jan. 3 from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. each day, for brush cutting.  

Route 13 between SE 300 and Bus 13: lane closure on Mon., Dec. 30, Tues., Dec. 31, Thurs., Jan. 2, and Fri., Jan. 3, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. each day, for edge rut repair.  

Route PP between SE 421 and SE 371: lane closure on Fri., Jan. 3, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., driveway culvert.  

PETTIS COUNTY 

Route EE between Hwy J and Hwy HH: intermittent lane closure on Mon., Dec. 30, Tues., Dec. 31, Thurs., Jan. 2, and Fri., Jan. 3 from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. each day, for mowing.  

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
