HANNIBAL – The following is a list of general highway maintenance work the Missouri Department of Transportation has planned in the Northeast Missouri region for the next few weeks.
All road closures and planned roadwork may be viewed on the Traveler Information Map at http://traveler.modot.org/map/.
Inclement weather may cause schedule changes in some of the planned work. There may also be moving operations throughout the region, in addition to the work mentioned below. MoDOT asks drivers to work with us by buckling up, putting your phone down, slowing down and moving over in work zones.
Lincoln County
Missouri Route 47 - December 16, LANE RESTRICTION for culvert replacement operations from Cherokee Lane to Route W between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Missouri Route 47 - December 17, LANE RESTRICTION for drainage work from 0.08 mile west of Oak Bend Drive to West Horseshoe Bend Drive, west of Route W, between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Missouri Route 47 - December 20, LANE RESTRICTION for drainage work from Giles Road to Route AA between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Route D – December 23, CLOSED for culvert replacement operations from Providence Lane to Turkey Creek Road near Hawk Point between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Route KK – December 18 – 19, CLOSED for culvert replacement operations from U.S. Route 61 South Outer Road to Keithley Road near Old Alexandria between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. daily.
Marion County
Interstate 72 (Eastbound) – December 16 – 20, a continuous LANE RESTRICTION will be in place for bridge maintenance operations from one mile before to the end of the bridge over the Mississippi River at Hannibal, beginning at 8:00 a.m. Monday, December 16 through 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 20. A 14-foot width restriction will be in place during this time.
Monroe County
Route AA – December 19, CLOSED for culvert replacement operations from CR 980 to CR 959 near Madison between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Montgomery County
Missouri Route 19 – December 23, LANE RESTRICTION for shoulder work operations from the Audrain County line near Wellsville to Missouri Route 94 near McKittrick between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

With an increased number of highway work zones in Missouri, we urge all drivers to pay attention every second while driving, especially through a work zone. Be informed of your route by checking the MoDOT Traveler Information Map before you leave to see if you will encounter any work zones.
