Kansas City area maintenance work for Dec. 9-13

LEE’S SUMMIT, MO – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be performing maintenance work throughout the Kansas City region from Dec. 9-13. All work is weather permitting. 

CLAY COUNTY  

  • Crews will make various closures on NB U.S. 69 from I-35 to Excelsior Springs for pavement grinding, Dec. 9-13 
  • Crews will make various lane closures on Route D in Lawson for a culvert replacement, Dec. 9-13.  

JACKSON COUNTY  

  • Crews will be brush cutting near F Highway (Zummalt Rd.) and 50 Highway, requiring work on the shoulder and intermittent lane closures, Dec. 9-13. 
  • Crews will be pothole patching at various locations on EB/WB I-70 throughout the week from downtown Kansas City, MO to I-470/MO 291, requiring intermittent lane closures, Dec. 10-12. 
  • Crews will be pothole patching on the ramp from NB I-435 to Raytown Rd. (exit 63). The ramp will be closed from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 13. 

 

JOHNSON COUNTY 

  • Missouri Route VV will be closed between SW 871 and SW 100 on Mon. Dec. 9 to Fri. Dec. 13 from approx.7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for brush cutting. 
  • U.S. Route 50: Flagging operations between MO Highway 23 and MO Route D on Mon. Dec. 9 from approx. 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for pothole patching. 
  • MO Route 23: Flagging operations between NE 175 and MO Route CC on Tues. Dec. 10 until Wed. Dec. 11 from approx.7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for pothole patching. 
  • MO Route FF: Flagging operations between U.S. Highway 50 and MO Route D on Thurs. Dec. 12 until Fri. Dec. 13 from approx. 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for pothole patching. 
  • U.S. Highway 50 will have a single lane closure between MO Route W and NW 1601 on Tues. Dec. 10 from approx. 9 a.m. until 1 p.m., for pavement operations. 

LAFAYETTE COUNTY 

  • Crews will be brush cutting in Odessa at various locations on Route D requiring work on the shoulder and intermittent lane closures, Dec. 9-13. 

RAY COUNTY  

  • Crews will be brush cutting in Richmond on Route EE requiring various closures beginning at 10 Highway, Dec. 9-13
