Utility work planned at intersection of U.S. Route 169, Route YY in St. Joseph

Intersection of the Belt Highway and Mitchell Avenue

St. Joseph, Mo. – Utility work will impact traffic at the intersection of Buchanan County U.S. Route 169 (Belt Highway) and Buchanan County Route YY (Mitchell Avenue) in St. Joseph beginning at 6 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 18 through Saturday, Nov. 23. Missouri American Water will complete urgent repairs to the water valves near the intersection.

Crews will narrow the southbound lanes of U.S. Route 169 to one lane through the intersection. Both east and westbound lanes of Route YY will also be narrowed to one lane.   

All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
