St. Louis Work Zones November 7-13

ST. LOUIS – Drivers may encounter delays as crews will close the express lanes of eastbound Interstate 70/Westbound Interstate 44 in the City of St. Louis overnight from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Wednesday, November 6, Thursday, November 7 and Friday, November 8 for paving work.

On Wednesday, all eastbound I-70/westbound I-44 traffic will exit at Tucker Boulevard and detour to Choteau to 7th Street to access westbound I-44 and southbound I-55. During the express lane closure, the Washington Avenue on ramp and the Spruce on ramp to westbound I-44 will also be closed for paving work from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Wednesday, November 6.

On Thursday, November 7 and Friday, November 8, the express lanes will be closed from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. All eastbound I-70/westbound I-44 traffic will exit at Broadway and detour to Spruce to get back to southbound I-55 and westbound I-44. During this work, the Washington Avenue on ramp to westbound I-44 will be closed from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Drivers who use eastbound Interstate 44 to travel through the city will need to allow extra time and use an alternate route Saturday, November 9 as crews will close all lanes of eastbound I-44 (heading north into downtown city of St. Louis) between the Poplar Street Bridge and Walnut Street Saturday, November 9 between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m.

To detour around the interstate closure, drivers can take the Park exit (Exit 290C) turn left onto Broadway and follow the signs for eastbound I-44 and westbound I-70 to get back onto the interstate.
