ST. LOUIS – Drivers who use eastbound Interstate 44 to travel through the city will need to allow extra time and use an alternate route next Saturday as crews will close all lanes near the Gateway Arch to safely complete maintenance.
Crews will close all lanes of eastbound I-44 (heading north into downtown city of St. Louis) between the Poplar Street Bridge and Walnut Street Saturday, November 9 between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. To detour around the interstate closure, drivers can take the Park exit (Exit 290C) turn left onto Broadway and follow the signs for eastbound I-44 and westbound I-70 to get back onto the interstate.
