TRAFFIC ALERT: Route YY CLOSED at CPKC RR Near Carl Junction for Crossing Work Oct. 23-25

Where: Jasper County Route YY at Canadian Pacific Kansas City Railroad crossing near Carl Junction just west of Missouri Route 171

When: 7 a.m., Wednesday, October 23 through Friday, October 25

What: Railroad crews working on crossing

Traffic Impacts:

  • All lanes of Route YY CLOSED at railroad crossing
  • Juniper Road and Route YY CLOSED at Jasper County Road 284
  • Route YY closed around the clock until work is completed
  • Drivers will be directed along a signed detour on Route 171 and County Road 284
  • Signs and message boards will alert drivers approaching work zone
  • Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts

Weather and/or scheduling conflicts could alter the work schedule.
