REVISED: Lane closure on SB I-29 south of MO Route 273, ongoing beginning Oct. 16

Closure of inside lane of SB I-29 bridge over the Platte River overflow south of MO 273

PLATTE COUNTY - The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT KC) will close the inside lane of southbound I-29 just south of MO Route 273. This lane closure is for bridge work over the Platte River overflow. The lane closure will be in place beginning at (approximately) 12 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 16 and remain closed until repairs can be completed. Updates on the repair schedule will be shared once the schedule becomes available.  All work is weather permitting.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
