Where: East and westbound U.S. Route 60 off-ramps at Kansas Expressway (Missouri Route 13) CLOSED in Springfield
When: 8 p.m. – 6 a.m. Tuesday night, September 17
What: Contractor crews to pave Kansas Expressway (Route 13) Diverging Diamond at night as part of the Kansas Expressway Pedestrian Improvements in Greene Project.
Traffic Impacts:
- East and westbound U.S. Route 60 off-ramps at Kansas Expressway (Missouri Route 13) CLOSED at night in Springfield
- East and westbound U.S. Route 60 on-ramps at Kansas Expressway (Missouri Route 13) OPEN
- Lane Closures on Kansas Expressway (Route 13) where crew are working
- Drivers urged to find alternate routes
- No signed detours are planned
- Electronic message boards located near the planned road work will alert drivers to any changes in the work schedule
- Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts
Weather and/or scheduling conflicts could alter the work schedule.
Project Information:
- D & E Plumbing & Heating, Inc., Nixa is doing the work for a low bid amount of $13.3 million and is a cost-share with the City of Springfield.
- The project is to be completed by November 1, 2024.
