ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Crews from the Missouri Department of Transportation will be replacing the traffic detection system at the intersection of Nodaway County U.S. Route 71, Business 71 and 282 Street in Maryville Tuesday, Sept. 17 and Wednesday, Sept. 18.
Crews will narrow both north and southbound U.S. Route 71 to one lane, each direction through the intersection, now scheduled to take place between 8 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. each day to allow for a brief stop of traffic to set up and tear down the work zone.
The median intersection between north and southbound U.S. Route 71 will also be closed during that time. Right-hand turns will be allowed. Motorists will not be able to make the following left-hand turns:
- No access to/from northbound U.S. Route 71 and Business 71.
- No access to/from southbound U.S. Route 71 and 282 Street.
