Signal maintenance planned for U.S. Route 71 in Maryville

Intersection of U.S. Route 71, Business 71 and 282 Street

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Crews from the Missouri Department of Transportation will be replacing the traffic detection system at the intersection of Nodaway County U.S. Route 71, Business 71 and 282 Street in Maryville Tuesday, Sept. 17 and Wednesday, Sept. 18.

Crews will narrow both north and southbound U.S. Route 71 to one lane, each direction through the intersection between 6:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. each day. The median intersection between north and southbound U.S. Route 71 will be closed. Motorists will not be able to make the following left-hand turns:  

  • No access to/from northbound U.S. Route 71 and Business 71.
  • No access to/from southbound U.S. Route 71 and 282 Street.
