Springfield – Traffic can expect lane Closures on the Republic Road bridge over U.S. Route 60 between Campbell Avenue and Kansas Expressway in Springfield beginning Tuesday, September 3, for a bridge rehabilitation project, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
Contractor crews will resurface the bridge deck (driving surface), install new barrier wall and work on the bridge drainage system underneath the bridge.
Traffic Impacts:
- Lane Closures on the Republic Road bridge over U.S. Route 60 between Campbell Avenue and Kansas Expressway in Springfield
- Traffic reduced to single lanes in each direction with traffic shifts during multiple phases
- Sidewalk Closed for repairs
- Drivers urged to find alternate routes. No signed detours are planned.
- Electronic message boards located near the planned road work will alert drivers to any changes in the work schedule
- Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts
Weather and/or construction delays could alter the work schedule.
