JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The following is a list of general highway maintenance and construction work planned in the mid–Missouri area Aug. 26 - Sept. 1, 2024. Weather conditions may postpone scheduled work. Many projects will include lane closures which could cause delays.
All Counties
Moving operations such as pothole patching, mowing, brush cutting, and pavement repair continue in various locations. Motorists should travel with care and be alert for slow–moving equipment.
Boone County
Missouri Route 163 – Pothole patching planned Aug. 26 - 28 from Route K to Route N. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
U.S. Route 63 – Bridge maintenance continues from Missouri Route 763 (Range Line Street) to Route B. One lane may be closed between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. The project is scheduled for completion in October 2024.
Route M – Upgrades to pedestrian facilities continue between Chico Drive and Main Street in Ashland. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.
Interstate 70 – Bridge construction continues for the new Rocheport Bridge near mile marker 115. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.
Missouri Routes 151, 22, and 124 intersection – Roundabout construction continues. Route 151 is CLOSED through Sept. 13. Routes 22 and 124 will remain open. The project is scheduled for completion in October 2024.
Callaway County
Missouri Route 94/U.S. Route 63 – Bridge rehabilitation continues over U.S. Route 54. One lane of each overpass bridge will remain open. Westbound Route 94 to northbound U.S. Route 63 access is CLOSED at the overpass bridge and a signed detour is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024.
U.S. Route 63 – Ramp from northbound U.S. Route 63 to westbound U.S. Route 54 CLOSED for a bridge rehabilitation project through September 2024. A signed detour is in place.
U.S. Route 54 – Ramp from westbound U.S. Route 54 to eastbound Route 94 CLOSED for a bridge rehabilitation project through September 2024. A signed detour is in place.
U.S. Route 54 – Resurfacing continues from north of the Missouri River to Route OO. Single-lane closures will occur at varying times, depending on the location. Expect delays during morning/evening rush hours.
Old Jefferson City Road – Intersection improvements continue at the U.S. Route 54 crossover in Fulton. The crossover is CLOSED, and a signed detour is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024.
I-70 – New pavement construction continues from the Boone County line to Kingdom City (near mile marker 145) as part of the Improve I-70 Program. Learn more at modot.org/improvei70/columbiakingdomcity
Camden County
Route BB – Resurfacing continues from Route 7 to Missouri Route 5 in Laclede County. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024.
Route T – Resurfacing continues. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024.
Cole County
U.S. Route 50 – Pothole patching planned Aug. 26 - 27 from the Business U.S. 50 West on-ramp to Big Horn Drive. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route D – Bridge deck replacement continues over North Moreau Creek bridge. The road is CLOSED between Hunters Haven Drive and Knoll Road, and a signed detour is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in October 2024.
Missouri Boulevard – Ramp CLOSED from Business U.S. 50 (Missouri Boulevard) to eastbound U.S. Route 54 through mid-October. Motorist must use an alternate route.
U.S. Route 54 – Bridge rehabilitation continues over U.S. Route 50 and McCarty Street in Jefferson City. U.S. Route 54 will remain open but is narrowed to one lane in each direction between south of the Missouri River and Missouri Boulevard for up to 90 calendar days. Width restrictions are in place. The project is scheduled for completion in October 2024.
Cooper County
Route N – Pothole patching planned Aug. 26 - 28 from Route NN to Missouri Route 135. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
I-70 – Bridge painting continues nightly at the Lamine River bridges near mile marker 93. One lane will remain open. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024.
Route O – Bridge rehabilitation continues at the Moniteau Creek Bridge. The road is CLOSED to all traffic and motorists must use an alternate route. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024.
I-70 – Bridge construction continues for the new Rocheport Bridge near mile marker 115. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.
Crawford County
Missouri Route 19 – Pothole patching planned Aug. 26 - 29 from Edgar Road to Route VV in Phelps County. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Missouri Route 49 – Pothole patching planned Aug. 26 - 29. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route 49 – Roadside work planned Aug. 26 - 29 from Route V to the city limits of Viburnum. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Missouri Route 8 – Pothole patching planned Aug. 26 - 29 from Meramec Farms Road to Missouri Route 68 in Phelps County. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route C – Culvert replacement planned Aug. 26 - 29 at Rohrer Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route E – Culvert replacement planned Aug. 26 - 29 from Route 8 to Moutray Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route N – Roadside work planned Aug. 26 - 29. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route Y – Culvert replacement planned Aug. 26 - 29 from Route 49 in Viburnum (Iron County) to Route V. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Frontage Road (North Outer Road) – Pothole patching planned Aug. 26 - 29 from Route J to Route FF. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route 19 – Bridge rehabilitation continues at the I–44 overpass in Cuba. One lane will remain open. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024.
I-44 – Resurfacing continues from just west of Cuba to the Franklin County line. One lane will remain open. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2024
Gasconade County
Route ZZ – Seal coating planned Aug. 27. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route H – Seal coating planned Aug. 28 - 29. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Routes KK and OO – Resurfacing continues. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.
Missouri Route 28 – Guardrail work continues from Owensville to Belle in Maries County. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024.
Missouri Route 100 – Resurfacing continues from U.S. Route 50 in Osage County to Route N. One lane maybe closed between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024.
Routes E, K, Z, W, and NN – Resurfacing continues. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024.
Howard County
Route E – Culvert replacement planned Aug. 26 - 27 from County Road 220 to County Road 315. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route J – Culvert replacement planned Aug. 26 - 29 from County Road 330 to County Road 335. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Missouri Route 129 – Culvert replacement planned Aug. 28 - 29 from Route T to Missouri Route 3. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route 5 – Upgrades to pedestrian facilities continue in the city of New Franklin. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024.
Missouri Route 240 – Resurfacing continues from Route 5 to U.S. Route 40. One lane will remain open, and flaggers will direct motorists through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2024.
Laclede County
Route O – Pothole patching planned Aug. 26 - 29. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route BB – Resurfacing continues from Route 7 in Camden County to Route 5. One lane will remain open, and flaggers will direct motorists through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024.
Route F – Resurfacing continues from Route BB to I-44. One lane will remain open, and flaggers will direct motorists through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024.
Routes A, J, T and YY – Resurfacing continues. One lane will remain open, and flaggers will direct motorists through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024.
Missouri Route 64 – Bridge replacement continues at the Goodwin Hollow Creek Bridge. The road is CLOSED to all traffic. A signed detour is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in fall 2024.
Route B – Bridge deck replacement scheduled to begin Aug. 26 at the Osage Fork Creek Bridge. The road will CLOSE to all traffic with a signed detour directing motorists around the closure. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.
Maries County
Route 28 – Guardrail work continues from Owensville in Gasconade County to Belle. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024.
Miller County
Missouri Route 52 – Pothole patching scheduled Aug. 26 - 29 from U.S. Route 54 to the city of Tuscumbia. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Missouri Route 42 – Pothole patching scheduled Aug. 26 - 29 from Route A to the city of Iberia. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Missouri Route 17 – Seal coating continues from Route 42 to the city of Waynesville. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024.
Morgan County
Route T – Resurfacing continues. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024.
Osage County
Route 100 – Resurfacing continues from U.S. Route 50 to Route N in Gasconade County. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024.
Routes DD, FF, K, JJ, KK, NN and OO – Resurfacing continues. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.
Phelps County
Route 68 – Culvert replacement planned Aug. 26 - 29 from Route V to Matlock Drive. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Dillion Outer Road (South Outer Road) – Pothole patching planned Aug. 26 - 29 from Route 68 to Route V. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route W – Pothole patching planned Aug. 26 - 29. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route NN – Roadside work planned Aug. 26 - 29. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
I-44 – Road resurfacing and reconstruction continues from Exit 186 in Rolla to Exit 195 in St. James. Expect around-the-clock lane closures from U.S. Route 63 to Route 68. An 11-foot width restriction is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in late fall 2024.
Pulaski County
I-44 – Bridge maintenance planned Aug. 25 - 26 at mile marker 160 westbound. Nightly lane closures are expected from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Route 17 – Seal coating continues from Route 42 to the city of Waynesville. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024.
Route Y – Resurfacing continues. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024.
Business Loop 44 – Bridge rehabilitation continues over I–44 in St. Robert. Business Loop 44 is open but narrowed to one lane in each direction in a head-to-head configuration. An 11-foot width restriction is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.
Washington County
Missouri Route 185 – Pothole patching planned Aug. 26 - 29 from Route AA to Route A. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route 8 – Bridge replacement continues at Bates Creek. Traffic is narrowed to one lane with temporary signals in place. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024.
Missouri Route 47 – Bridge rehabilitation scheduled to begin Aug. 29 over Mineral Fork Creek. Traffic will narrow to one lane with temporary signals in place. The project is scheduled for completion in October 2024.
