Planned Road Work for Mid-Missouri

Aug. 19 - 25, 2024

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. The following is a list of general highway maintenance and construction work planned in the midMissouri area Aug. 19 - 25, 2024. Weather conditions may postpone scheduled work. Many projects will include lane closures which could cause delays.   

All Counties 

Moving operations such as pothole patching, mowing, brush cutting, and pavement repair continue in various locations. Motorists should travel with care and be alert for slowmoving equipment.    

Boone County 

Missouri Route 124 – Culvert replacement planned Aug. 19 at Caldwell Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route Y – Pothole patching planned Aug. 19 - 21 from U.S. Route 63 off-ramp in between the 2 eastbound roundabouts. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route TT – Pothole patching planned Aug. 20 from Dundee Drive to Loch Lane. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route AC – Roadside work planned Aug. 21 at Buttonwood Drive. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route 124 and Route B – Upgrades to pedestrian facilities continue in the city of Hallsville. One lane will remain open in each direction, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024.   

Missouri Route 163 (Providence Road) – Shoulder work continues from Route K/Old Plank Road north to Interstate 70. One lane may be closed between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024. 

U.S. Route 63Bridge maintenance continues from Missouri Route 763 (Range Line Street) to Route B. One lane may be closed between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. The project is scheduled for completion in October 2024. 

Business Loop 70 – Resurfacing continues. One lane may be closed between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. The project is scheduled for completion in October 2024. 

Route MUpgrades to pedestrian facilities continue between Chico Drive and Main Street in Ashland. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024. 

I70 – Bridge construction continues for the new Rocheport Bridge near mile marker 115. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.     

Missouri Routes 151, 22, and 124 intersection Roundabout construction continues. Route 151 will be CLOSED up to 28 calendar days. Routes 22 and 124 will remain open.  The project is scheduled for completion in August 2025.   

 

Callaway County 

Missouri Route 94/U.S. Route 63 – Bridge rehabilitation continues over U.S. Route 54. One lane of each overpass bridge will remain open. Westbound Route 94 to northbound U.S. Route 63 access is CLOSED at the overpass bridge and a signed detour is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024.  

U.S. Route 63 – Ramp from northbound U.S. Route 63 to westbound U.S. Route 54 CLOSED for a bridge rehabilitation project through September 2024. A signed detour is in place. 

U.S. Route 54 – Ramp from westbound U.S. Route 54 to eastbound Route 94 CLOSED for a bridge rehabilitation project through September 2024. A signed detour is in place. 

U.S. Route 54 – Resurfacing continues from north of the Missouri River to Route OO. Single-lane closures will occur at varying times, depending on the location. Expect delays during morning/evening rush hours. 

Old Jefferson City Road – Intersection improvements continue at the U.S. Route 54 crossover in Fulton. The crossover is CLOSED, and a signed detour is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024. 

I-70 – New pavement construction continues from the Boone County line to Kingdom City (near mile marker 145) as part of the Improve I-70 Program. Learn more at modot.org/improvei70/columbiakingdomcity 

Camden County 

Route H – Culvert replacement planned Aug. 19 - 22 in various locations. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Missouri Route 5 – Bridge maintenance planned Aug. 19 - 23 at the Osage Arm of Lake of the Ozark bridge. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route J – Bridge maintenance planned Aug. 19 - 23 at the Little Niangua River bridge. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route BB – Resurfacing continues from Route 7 to Missouri Route 5 in Laclede County. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024. 

Route T – Resurfacing continues. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024. 

Route 7Pavement marking, and guardrail work planned from Route AA to U.S. Route 65 in Benton County. Pavement marking will be a moving operation. Guardrail work in Edwards (Benton County) will require the use of temporary signals to direct motorists through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2024.  

 

Cole County 

U.S. Route 50 – Pothole patching planned Aug. 20 - 22 from Route M to the Osage River Bridge. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route D – Bridge deck replacement continues over North Moreau Creek bridge. The road will CLOSE between Hunters Haven Drive and Knoll Road, and a signed detour will be in place. The project is scheduled for completion in October 2024.   

Missouri Boulevard – Ramp CLOSED from Business U.S. 50 (Missouri Boulevard) to eastbound U.S. Route 54 through mid-October. Motorist must use an alternate route. 

U.S. Route 54 – Bridge rehabilitation continues over U.S. Route 50 and McCarty Street in Jefferson City. U.S. Route 54 will remain open but is narrowed to one lane in each direction between south of the Missouri River and Missouri Boulevard for up to 90 calendar days. Width restrictions are in place. The project is scheduled for completion in October 2024.   

Cooper County 

Missouri Route 41 Shoulder work planned Aug. 19 from Hollywood Road and Black Oak Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route N Pothole patching planned Aug. 20 - 22 from Route NN to Missouri Route 135. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

I-70 – Bridge painting continues nightly at the Lamine River bridges near mile marker 93. One lane will remain open. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024. 

Route O – Bridge rehabilitation continues at the Moniteau Creek Bridge. The road is CLOSED to all traffic and motorists must use an alternate route. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024. 

I-70 – Bridge construction continues for the new Rocheport Bridge near mile marker 115. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.     

Crawford County 

Missouri Route 19 Pothole patching continues Aug. 19 - 22 from Mill Springs Road to Seven Cedars Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Missouri Route 49 – Roadside work planned Aug. 19 - 22 from Route V to the city limits of Viburnum. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Missouri Route 8 – Pothole patching planned Aug. 19 - 22 from Meramec Farms Road to Missouri Route 68 in Phelps County. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route C – Culvert replacement planned Aug. 19 - 22 at Rohrer Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route E Culvert replacement planned Aug. 19 - 22 from Missouri Route 8 to Moutray Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route Y – Culvert replacement planned Aug. 19 - 22 from Missouri Route 49 in Viburnum (Iron County) to Route V. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Routes U and WW Roadside work planned Aug. 19 - 22. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Frontage Road (North Outer Road) – Pothole patching planned Aug. 19 - 22 from Route J to Route FF. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Old Highway 66 (South Outer Road) – Pothole patching planned Aug. 19 - 22 from Route FF to Route D. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route 19 – Bridge rehabilitation continues at the I44 overpass in Cuba. One lane will remain open. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024. 

I-44Resurfacing continues from just west of Cuba to the Franklin County line. One lane will remain open. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2024 

Routes E and H – Road resurfacing continues. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.  

Dent County 

Route 19 – Pothole patching scheduled Aug. 19 - 22 from Route JJ to Route TT. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route K – Roadside work scheduled Aug. 19 - 22. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route CC – Pavement repairs scheduled Aug. 19 - 22 from Route C to Route H. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Gasconade County 

Missouri Route 28 – Guardrail work continues from Owensville to Belle in Maries County. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024. 

Route 19 – Bridge deck replacement continues at Frene Creek in Hermann. The road is CLOSED to all traffic with a signed detour directing motorists around the closure. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024.   

Route NN – Resurfacing continues. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024. 

Missouri Route 100 – Resurfacing continues from U.S. Route 50 in Osage County to Route N. One lane maybe closed between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024. 

Routes E, K, Z, W, and NN Resurfacing continues One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024. 

Howard County 

Missouri Route 240 Upgrades to pedestrian facilities continue in the city of Fayette. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024. 

Route P – Bridge rehabilitation continues at the Bonne Femme Creek Bridge in New Franklin. The road is CLOSED to all traffic and motorists must use an alternate route. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024.  

Route 5 – Resurfacing continues from Missouri Route 87 to Missouri Route 40. One lane will remain open, and flaggers will direct motorists through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2024. 

Route 240 – Resurfacing continues from Route 5 to Route 40. One lane will remain open, and flaggers will direct motorists through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2024. 

Laclede County 

Route VV – Pothole patching planned Aug. 19 - 21. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route YY – Resurfacing planned Aug. 19 - 20. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route BB – Resurfacing continues from Route 7 in Camden County to Route 5. One lane will remain open, and flaggers will direct motorists through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024. 

Route F – Resurfacing continues from Route BB to I-44. One lane will remain open, and flaggers will direct motorists through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024. 

Route T – Resurfacing continues. One lane will remain open, and flaggers will direct motorists through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024.    

Missouri Route 32 – Seal coating continues at Dallas County Route P and progressing east to Harrison Avenue in Lebanon, then will start at Missouri Route 17 in Texas County progressing west to the southern junction with Route 5 in Lebanon. One lane will be closed during daylight hours. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024. 

Missouri Route 64 – Bridge replacement continues at the Goodwin Hollow Creek Bridge. The road is CLOSED to all traffic. A signed detour is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in fall 2024.   

Maries County 

Routes E and WSeal coating planned Aug. 19 - 22. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Missouri Route 28 – Guardrail work continues from Owensville in Gasconade County to Belle. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024. 

Miller County 

Missouri Route 17 Pothole patching scheduled Aug. 19 - 22 from U.S. Route 54 to the city of Tuscumbia. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Routes W and Y Pothole patching scheduled Aug. 19 - 22. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route 17 – Seal coating continues from Missouri Route 42 to the city of Waynesville.   One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024. 

Moniteau County 

Missouri Route 87 – Pothole patching planned Aug. 19 - 22 from U.S. Route 50 to  Molly Branch Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Morgan County 

Missouri Route 135 – Upgrades to pedestrian facilities planned in the city of Stover. One lane will remain open in each direction, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024.   

Missouri Route 87 – Culvert replacement planned Aug. 19 from Cotton Wood Drive to Warren Road. All lanes will be CLOSED from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

Route T – Road resurfacing continues. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024. 

Osage County 

Routes P and Y – Seal coating planned Aug. 19 - 22. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route 100 – Resurfacing continues from U.S. Route 50 to Route N in Gasconade County. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024. 

Routes K, FF, JJ, and NN – Resurfacing continues for the entirety of both routes. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024. 

Phelps County 

Missouri Route 8 – Pothole patching planned Aug. 19 - 22 from Meramec Farms Road in Crawford County to Missouri Route 68. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Missouri Route 68Culvert replacement planned Aug. 19 - 22 from Route V to Matlock Drive. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route B – Culvert replacement planned Aug. 19 - 22 in various locations. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route W – Pothole patching planned Aug. 21 - 22. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

I-44 – Road resurfacing and reconstruction continues from Exit 186 in Rolla to Exit 195 in St. James. Expect around-the-clock lane closures from U.S. Route 63 to Missouri Route 68. An 11-foot width restriction is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in late fall 2024.       

Route F Bridge and guardrail work continues in preparation for a pavement preservation treatment. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.  

Pulaski County 

Missouri Route 17 – Seal coating continues from Missouri Route 42 to the city of WaynesvilleOne lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024. 

Route Y Shoulder work continues. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024. 

Business Loop 44 Bridge rehabilitation continues over I44 in St. Robert. Business Loop 44 is open but narrowed to one lane in each direction in a head-to-head configuration. An 11-foot width restriction is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.  

Washington County 

Missouri Route 8 – Intersection improvements planned Aug. 19 - 22. Nightly lane closures will take place in the city limits of Potosi from 8:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m 

Route CC – Pothole patching planned Aug. 19 - 22. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route 8 – Bridge replacement continues at Bates Creek.Traffic is narrowed to one lane with temporary signals in place. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024.   

All work is weather permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
