ST. LOUIS – Drivers who use southbound Interstate 55 should be aware that southbound I-55 will be closed overnight this Friday and next Friday, weather permitting.
Crews will close all lanes of southbound I-55 at Germania this Friday, August 16, starting at 11 p.m. to place concrete for the bridge deck over the River Des Peres. Drivers can exit at Germania (Exit 202B), turn right on Germania, turn left onto Morganford, take an immediate left onto Carondelet and get back onto southbound I-55. The lanes will reopen Saturday, August 17 by 8 a.m.
The following Friday, August 23, crews will also close all lanes of southbound I-55 at Germania, starting at 10 p.m. The detour for this closure remains the same, and the lanes will reopen Saturday, August 24 by 8 a.m.
