Safety Improvement Project Scheduled on U.S. Route 54 in Audrain County

HANNIBAL – Weather permitting, a safety improvement project which adds a centerline rumble strip on U.S. Route 54, from 0.3 mile south of Bus. Route 54 in Vandiver to 0.6 mile north of Missouri Route 15 in Mexico in Audrain County, will begin the week of August 26. 

The $75,668 contract was awarded this summer to Surface Preparation Technologies, LLC of New Kingstown, PA.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane with a 9-foot width restriction will be in place where crews are actively working. Flaggers and a pilot car will direct motorists through the work zone. All work is weather dependent and schedules are subject to change.
