Missouri Route 161 in Montgomery County to Close for Bridge Replacement Project

HANNIBAL - Weather permitting, the week of August 5, Missouri Route 161 is scheduled to close over Elkhorn Creek, 1.6 miles south of Route CC near Buell in Montgomery County, as work begins on a bridge replacement project.

The $1.1M contract was awarded earlier this year to Don Schnieders Excavating Company, Inc. Anticipated completion of the new bridge is scheduled for the Fall of 2024. All work is weather dependent and schedules are subject to change.
