JEFFERSON CITY, Mo – Resurfacing work will restrict access from Missouri Route 5 to Laclede County Route BB on Monday and Tuesday from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. each day. Motorists are advised to use an alternate route. This work will not limit any lanes on Route 5 and travelers on Route BB will still be able to access Route 5. All work is weather-permitting and subject to change.
This project began in mid-March with the extension of box culverts on Routes BB and F. Both routes will have shoulders added during resurfacing, which will begin next week at the intersection with Route 5. Excluding holidays, work will take place Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
As part of this large project, pavement improvements have been completed on Laclede County Routes J, A, and YY with work still to be done on Route T in Camden and Laclede counties.
The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded a $6,146,912.62 contract to Willard Asphalt Paving, Inc. for this multi-route, multi-county work, which is anticipated to be completed by Nov. 1, 2024.
