Intermittent lane closures at I-70 and MO-13 for intersection improvements, July 17-Nov. 2024

LAFAYETTE COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be constructing intersection improvements at Interstate 70 and Missouri Highway 13 interchange. Crews will be installing traffic signals and lighting on MO-13 and widening the I-70 eastbound off-ramp. This work will consist of shoulder closures as well as occasional short-term lane closures on MO-13 and I-70. Any work requiring closures of travel lanes will be performed at night. Work is scheduled to begin on Wed., July 17 and is expected to be completed in November 2024. All work is weather permitting.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
