Planned Road Work for Mid-Missouri

July 15 - 21, 2024

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The following is a list of general highway maintenance and construction work planned in the mid-Missouri area July 15 - 21, 2024. Weather conditions may postpone scheduled work. Many projects will include lane closures which could cause delays.   

All Counties 

Moving operations such as pothole patching, brush cutting, and pavement repair continue in various locations. Motorists should travel with care and be alert for slow-moving equipment.    

Boone County 

Route KK – Pavement repair planned July 15 - 16 for the entire route. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Missouri Route 740 – ADA improvements scheduled to begin July 15 in various locations around Mizzou University. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in July 2024. 

Route M – ADA improvements continue between Chico Drive and Main Street. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in July 2024. 

Missouri Route 163 (Providence Road) Resurfacing continues from Route K/Old Plank Road north to Interstate 70. One lane will be closed between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024. 

Missouri Route 124 and Route B Upgrades to pedestrian facilities continue in the city of Hallsville. One lane will remain open in each direction, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. The project is scheduled for completion in July 2024.   

U.S. Route 63 – Resurfacing continues from Missouri Route 763 (Range Line Street) to Route B. One lane will be closed between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. The project is scheduled for completion in October 2024. 

I-70 – Bridge construction continues for the new Rocheport Bridge near mile marker 115. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.     

Callaway County 

Route 94/Route 63 – Bridge rehabilitation begins July 15 over U.S. Route 54. One lane of each overpass bridge will remain open. Some ramps at the interchange will be closed with a signed detour in place. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024.  

Old Jefferson Road – Intersection improvements scheduled to begin July 15 at U.S. Route 54 crossover. The crossover is CLOSED there will be a signed detour to all traffic and motorists. The project is scheduled for completion in Septmber 2024. 

Route B – Guardrail replacement and seal coating continue from U.S. Route 54 to Missouri Route 19 in Montgomery County. One lane will remain open, and flaggers with a pilot car will direct motorists through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2024.  

Route E – Guardrail replacement and seal coating continue from Route DD to U.S Route 54. One lane will remain open, and flaggers with a pilot car will direct motorists through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2024.  

Camden County 

Missouri Route 7 – Shoulder work planned from Route AA to Missouri Route 5. One lane will remain open, and flaggers with a pilot car will direct motorists through the work zone. Work will be conducted weekdays from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2024.  

Route NN – Resurfacing continues from Route 7 to the end of state maintenance. One lane will remain open, and flaggers will direct motorists through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in July 2024. 

Route Z – Resurfacing continues from Route 7 to the end of state maintenance. One lane will remain open, and flaggers will direct motorists through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in July 2024.  

Route BB – Resurfacing continues from Route 7 to Route 5 in Laclede County. One lane will remain open, and flaggers will direct motorists through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024. 

Cole County 

U.S. Route 54 – Bridge rehabilitation begins 7 p.m. July 15 over U.S. Route 50 and McCarty Street in Jefferson City. U.S. Route 54 will remain open, but will narrow to one lane in each direction between south of the Missouri River and Business Route 50 (Missouri Boulevard) for up to 90 calendar days. The project is scheduled for completion in October 2024 

 Cooper County 

Route O – Bridge rehabilitation continues at the Moniteau Creek Bridge. The road is CLOSED to all traffic and motorists will need to seek an alternate route. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024. 

I-70 – Bridge construction continues for the new Rocheport Bridge near mile marker 115. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.     

Crawford County 

Route 19 Pavement repair continues July 15 - 18 from Winn Road to the city limits of Cuba. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route 19 – Roadside work planned July 15 - 18 from Mill Springs Drive to Woolsey Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Missouri Route 8 Shoulder work planned July 15 - 18 from Route M to Missouri Route 68. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route M – Shoulder work continues July 15 - 18 from Route 8 to Route YY. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route U – Roadside work planned July 15 - 18. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route VV – Shoulder work continues July 15 - 18 from Route M to Route 19. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route YY – Seal coating continues July 15 - 18 from Route VV to Missouri Route 68. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route H – Bridge rehabilitation continues at the I-44 overpass. The road is CLOSED to all traffic with a signed detour directing motorists around the closure. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024. 

Route HH – Bridge deck replacement continues at the Dry Creek Bridge. The road is CLOSED to all traffic and motorists will need to seek an alternate route. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024.  

Missouri Route 19 – Bridge rehabilitation scheduled to begin July 15 at the I-44 overpass. One lane will be closed, the project is scheduled for completion in September 2024. 

I-44Resurfacing continues from just west of Cuba to the Franklin County line. One lane will remain open. The project, which includes resurfacing, is scheduled for completion in November 2024

Gasconade County 

Route 19 - Bridge replacement continues at Frene Creek. The road is CLOSED to all traffic with a signed detour directing motorists around the closure. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024.   

Missouri Route 100 – Resurfacing continues from U.S. Route 50 in Osage County to Route N. One lane will be closed between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024. 

Howard County 

Missouri Route 87 – Roadside work planned July 15 -16 from Route AA to County Road 218. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.  

Missouri Route 5 – ADA improvements scheduled to begin July 15 in the city of Fayette. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in July 2024. 

Route P – Bridge rehabilitation continues at the Bonne Femme Creek Bridge in New Franklin. The road is CLOSED to all traffic and motorists will need to seek an alternate route. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024.  

Missouri Route 5 – Resurfacing scheduled to begin July 15 from Missouri Route 87 to U.S. Route 40. One lane will remain open, and flaggers will direct motorists through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2024. 

Laclede County 

Route BB – Resurfacing continues from Route 7 in Camden County to Route 5. One lane will remain open, and flaggers will direct motorists through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in July 2024. 

Route F – Resurfacing continues from Route BB to I-44. One lane will remain open, and flaggers will direct motorists through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in July 2024. 

Missouri Route 64 – Bridge replacement continues at the Goodwin Hollow Creek Bridge. The road is CLOSED to all traffic. A signed detour is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in fall 2024.   

Maries County 

Missouri Route 133 – Culvert replacement planned July 15 - 18 just north of Route BB. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.  

Route M – Roadside work planned July 15 – 18. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.  

Route W – Culvert replacement planned July 15 - 18 between County Road 501 and County Road 502. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.  

 

Miller County 

Route OO – Road resurfacing continues. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. The project is scheduled for completion in July 2024.  

Moniteau County 

Route W – Road resurfacing continues. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. The project is scheduled for completion in July 2024. 

Morgan County 

Routes D, T, AA, MM, OO, WW – Road resurfacing continues. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. The project is scheduled for completion in July 2024.  

Missouri Route 52 – Road resurfacing continues. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024.  

Osage County 

Route 100 – Resurfacing continues from U.S. Route 50 to Route N in Gasconade County. One lane will be closed between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024. 

Phelps County 

Route P Pavement repair planned July 17 - 18. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route O – Upgrades to pedestrian facilities continue in the city of Rolla from Missouri Route 72 to Lions Club Drive. One lane will remain open in each direction. The project is scheduled for completion in July 2024.  

I-44 – Road resurfacing and reconstruction continues from Exit 186 in Rolla to Exit 195 in St. James. Expect around-the-clock lane closures from U.S. Route 63 to Missouri Route 68. An 11-foot width restriction is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in late fall 2024.       

Pulaski County 

Business Loop 44 Bridge rehabilitation continues over I-44. Crossover construction is scheduled as night work, 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Following crossover construction, traffic will shift to a head-to-head configuration and daytime work to rehabilitate the bridges. The project is scheduled for completion in October 2024. 

Washington County 

Route CSeal coating planned July 15 - 19 from Route Y to Missouri Route 21. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route A – Bridge replacement continues at the Richwoods Creek Bridge.The road is CLOSED to all traffic and motorists will need to seek an alternate route. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024.  

All work is weather permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
