TRAFFIC ALERT: Loop 49 (Gateway Drive) CLOSED in Newton County for Pipe Repair July 15-17

Where: Loop 49 (Gateway Drive) in Newton County approximately three (3) miles west of I-49

When: Monday, July 15 through Wednesday, July 17

What: Mid-America Pipeline crews repairing pipe underneath the highway

Traffic Impacts:

  • All lanes of Loop 49 (Gateway Drive) CLOSED where crews are working
  • No signed detours
  • Drivers should find alternate route
