Lane and ramp closures scheduled for various routes in Clay County, July 8 - July 11

CLAY COUNTY- The Missouri Department of Transportation will be performing pavement operations at various locations in Clay County resulting in lane and ramp closures. See below for locations and dates. All work is weather permitting.

  • One lane will be closed on southbound MO 291 from Prairie St to Missouri Ct. (Liberty) starting Monday, July 8 at 7 p.m. until Tuesday, July 9 at 6 a.m.
  • One lane will be closed on northbound MO 291 from Main St to W Murray Rd. (Liberty) starting Monday, July 8 at 7 p.m. until Tuesday, July 9 at 6 a.m.
  • One lane will be closed on southbound MO 291 from Elizabeth St to Middlebrook Dr. (Liberty) starting Monday, July 8 at 7p.m. until Tuesday, July 9 at 6 a.m.
  • All lanes of Winn Rd. will be closed from N. Brighton and N Elmwood Ave. starting Tuesday, July 9 at 7 p.m. until Wednesday July 10 at 6 a.m.
  • Lanes will be intermittently closed on northbound MO 9 from Design Dr to W 26th Ave. (NKC) starting Wednesday, July 10 at 7 p.m. until Thursday, July 11 at 6 a.m.
  • One lane of southbound North Oak will be closed at 32nd Ave starting Wednesday, July 10 at 7 p.m. until Thursday, July 11 at 6 a.m. 
  • The ramp from northbound MO 9 to northbound US 169 will be closed starting Wednesday, July 10 at 7 p.m. until Thursday, July 11 at 6 a.m.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
