Route Z in Iron County Reduced for Preventative Maintenance

WILLOW SPRINGS– Route Z in Iron County will be reduced to one lane with a 12-foot width restriction as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform preventative maintenance. The preventative maintenance treatment, known as fly coating, seals the roadway to keep water from penetrating the surface and extends the life of the roadway.

This section of roadway is located from Route 32 to the end of state maintenance.

Weather permitting, work will take place Tuesday, July 2 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
