Where: Westbound I-44 on- and off ramps at Greene County Route K/PP (Exit 61) west of Springfield
When: Beginning Monday, July 8 for up to three weeks
What: Contractor crews will be working to tie in new pavement to the ends of the new bridge. Once work is completed on westbound ramps, crews will begin work on the eastbound ramps.
Traffic Impacts:
- Westbound on- and off ramps narrowed to 10 feet wide for up to three (3) weeks
- Ramps will remain OPEN and access to businesses maintained
- Drivers may encounter flaggers at the tops of the ramps to direct traffic
- Drivers should continue to use signed detour:
- Southbound Route K detoured west on I-44 to Lawrence County Route Z/O (Exit 58) near Halltown, then east on I-44 to Route K/PP
- Northbound Route PP detoured east on I-44 to Greene County Route T/NN (Exit 67) near Republic, then west on I-44 to Route K/PP
- Drivers urged to use caution as they travel near crews and equipment working close to traffic
- Signs and message boards will alert drivers approaching the work zone
- Drivers should find alternate routes
- Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts
