U.S. Route 60 in Butler and Carter Counties Reduced for Island Replacements

SIKESTON ― U.S. Route 60 in Butler and Carter Counties will be reduced as contractor crews remove and replace islands at various intersections. As work is underway, eastbound and westbound Route 60 will be reduced to one lane in each direction in the vicinity of the intersection. 

This section of roadway is located from the intersection of Route 67 near Poplar Bluff, Missouri to Route M near Van Buren, Missouri.  

Weather permitting, work will take place from Wednesday, June 26 through Friday, Aug. 30 from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.  

The work zone will be marked with signs.  Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
