Route D in Cape Girardeau County Closed for Bridge Replacement

SIKESTON―Route D in will be closed as contractor crews replace a bridge over Byrd Creek in Cape Girardeau County. 

This section of roadway is located between County Road 495 and County Road 460 near Jackson, Missouri.  

Weather permitting, work will begin at 6 a.m. Monday, June 24 with completion anticipated Wednesday, Oct. 23. The bridge will remain closed until the work is completed.  

The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
