Kansas City area maintenance work for June 10-14

LEE’S SUMMIT, MO – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be performing maintenance work throughout the Kansas City region from June 10-14. All work is weather permitting.

CLAY AND JACKSON COUNTY

Missouri Highway 9 bridge over the Missouri River (Heart of America Bridge): the bike path will be closed on Tue., June 11, from approximately 8 am until 4 pm, for bridge maintenance work.

JACKSON COUNTY

Various bridges in the Grandview triangle: intermittent lane closures on Mon., June 10, and Tue., June 11, from approximately 8 am until 4 pm daily, for bridge flushing.

Missouri Highway 291 from U.S. Highway 24 to the Missouri River bridge: intermittent lane closures on Mon., June 10, and Tue., June 11, from approximately 9 am until 3 pm daily, for barrier wall sweeping.

I-70 eastbound between Adams Dairy Parkway and Lafayette County line: intermittent left lane closures on Wed., June 12, and Thu., June 13, from approximately 7 am until 4 pm, for median crossover improvement work.

JOHNSON COUNTY

Holden Street bridge over U.S. Highway 50: flagging operation on Mon., June 10, from approximately 8 am until 4 pm, for bridge repair work.

Route AA between U.S. Highway 50 and Missouri Highway 58: flagging operation on Mon., June 10, from approximately 7 am until 4 pm, for seal coating.

Route TT from Route T to where state maintenance ends: flagging operation on Tue., June 11, from approximately 7 am until 4 pm, for seal coating.

Route KK from Route O to where state maintenance ends: flagging operation on Wed., June 12, from approximately 7 am until 4 pm, for seal coating.

Route U from MO-58 to where state maintenance ends: flagging operation on Thu., June 13, from approximately 7 am until 4 pm, for seal coating.

LAFAYETTE COUNTY

U.S Highway 24 at various locations throughout the county: flagging operations from Mon., June 10 until Fri., June 14, from approximately 8 am until 4 pm daily, for pavement analysis.

Route O between Howe Road and Benton Lane: full closure on Wed., June 12, and Thu., June 13, from approximately 8 am until 4 pm daily, for culvert replacement work.

PLATTE COUNTY

Interstate 29 southbound over Todd Creek near KCI: left lane closed on Wed., June 12 and Thu., June 13, from approximately 8 am until 4 pm, for bridge deck repair.

 

RAY COUNTY

Route N from Missouri Highway 10 to where state maintenance ends: full closure from Mon., June 10, until Thu., June 13, from approximately 8 am until 4 pm daily, for pavement repair work.

Route D at Shepherd Rd. in Lawson: flagging operation on Mon., June 10 and Tue., June 11, from approximately 8 am until 4 pm daily, for culvert replacement work. Shepherd Rd. will be closed to through traffic.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
