Greene County - The Greene County Route V bridge over Clear Creek north of Ash Grove will CLOSE the week of June 17, for a bridge replacement project, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
The bridge replacement will requiring Route V to be closed for up to four months to allow contractors crews to replace and widen the bridge to 32 feet to be a dual-lane bridge. This project will include new barrier wall, guardrail and permanent striping.
Traffic Impacts:
- Greene County Route V Bridge CLOSED over Clear Creek north of Ash Grove
- Signs and message boards will alert drivers to the closure
- Drivers will be able to get to driveways and entrances on either side of the bridge, but will not be able to travel across the bridge
- Drivers urged to find alternate routes. No signed detours are planned.
- Electronic message boards located near the planned road work will alert drivers to any changes in the work schedule
- Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts
The current bridge was built in 1936. Approximately 1,813 vehicles per day travel across the bridge.
The current structure is in poor condition and in need of frequent repairs.
Weather and/or construction delays could alter the work schedule.
