ST. CHARLES COUNTY – Drivers wishing to access westbound Interstate 70 from the Fairgrounds/Convention Center Boulevard entrance ramp may want to consider an alternate route starting at 9 p.m., Friday, June 7. All work is weather permitting.
Behind a barrier wall, crews will be paving the new North Outer Road alongside westbound I-70 between Fairgrounds/Convention Center Boulevard and Route 94. During this work, crews will also close the far-right lane of westbound I-70. The work is expected to be completed by 7 a.m. Sunday, June 9.
During this paving operation, three westbound I-70 lanes will remain open. The westbound I-70 exit ramp to Route 94/First Capitol Drive will also remain open. Drivers can also use the Route 94 on ramp from Veterans Memorial Parkway during the closure.
This work was originally scheduled for May 31- June 2 but postponed due to weather. This paving operation is part of the I-70 Cave Springs to Fairgrounds Design-Build Project.
