SIKESTON—Route C in Madison County will be closed as contractor crews excavate and stabilize the rock bluff near the St. Francis River.
This section of roadway is located between County Road 431 and County Road 433.
Weather permitting, work is scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. Monday, June 17 with completion anticipated Friday, August 30. The roadway will remain closed until the work is finished.
The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
