Newton County – Drivers can expect narrowed lanes and delays on U.S. Route 60 and Missouri Route 59 in Newton County for pavement repair beginning the week of June 17, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
Here is what drivers can expect during the project:
Where:
- S. Route 60 from a point east of I-49 to Missouri Route 59 through Neosho
- S. Route 60 from a point near Turtle Drive east nearly five (5) miles to a point between Walleye Road and Wallaby Road east of Granby
Traffic Impacts:
- Traffic reduced to one lane where crews are working
- Work will be done during nighttime hours, 7 p.m.-7 a.m., Monday-Friday
- Expect delays during high traffic volume times
- Drivers may encounter flaggers controlling traffic where crews are working
- Signs and message boards will alert drivers approaching work zone
- No signed detour
- Drivers should find alternate routes around work zone
- Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts
Weather and/or construction delays could alter the work schedule.
