Kansas City area maintenance work for June 3-7

LEE’S SUMMIT, MO – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be performing maintenance work throughout the Kansas City region from June 3-7. All work is weather permitting.

CLAY/JACKSON COUNTY

I-435 northbound over the Missouri River: left lane closed on Mon., June 3, and Tue., June 4, from approximately 9 am until 4 pm each day, for bridge flushing.

JACKSON COUNTY

Missouri Highway 78 westbound between Stark Ave. and Interstate 435: right lane closed from approximately 7 am Mon., June 3 until 4 pm, Fri., June 7, for ditch work.

JOHNSON COUNTY

U.S. Highway 50 eastbound bridge over Bear Creek: lane closures on Mon., June 3, from approximately 7 am until 4 pm, for surface leveling.

Missouri Highway 13 at various locations: flagging operations from approximately 7 am until 4 pm each day for surface leveling.

  • Tue., June 4 – approximately 0.2 miles south of U.S. 50
  • Wed., June 5 – approximately 1 mile south of U.S. 50
  • Thu., June 6 – approximately 2 miles south of Route DD

Missouri Highway 58 at various locations: flagging operations throughout the week for patching work.

Missouri Highway 131 at various locations: flagging operations throughout the week for patching work.

PETTIS COUNTY

Route NN between Missouri Highway 127 and Johnson County line: full closure on Wed., June 5 and Thu., June 6, from 7am until 5 pm daily, for pavement repair work.

PLATTE COUNTY

Old Pike Road over Interstate 29: flagging operation from Wed., June 5 until Thu., June 6, from approximately 8 am until 4 pm each day, for bridge deck repair.

SALINE COUNTY

Missouri Highway 240 at various locations: flagging operations throughout the week for patching work.

Old Highway 40 at various locations: flagging operations throughout the week for patching work.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
