St. Joseph, Mo. – A sidewalk improvement project on Route B in Wheeling that was expected to begin yesterday, May 20, has been postponed due to forecasted weather. The project to help ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), funded in part through the Transportation Alternatives Program, will improve sidewalks in Chula, Ludlow and Wheeling.
Work on Route B in Wheeling is now expected to be begin Tuesday, May 28. The project is expected to be complete by late June.
Some lane closures will be necessary throughout the project. Motorists are encouraged to use caution and follow all traffic control, flaggers, signs and barricades. All vehicles and personal property will need to be removed from the work area prior to start of construction.
