LEE’S SUMMIT, MO – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be performing maintenance work throughout the Kansas City region from May 20-24. All work is weather permitting.
JACKSON COUNTY
Interstate 435 northbound bridge over the Missouri River: left lane closed on Mon., May 20, from approximately 9 am until 4 pm, for drainage work.
Missouri Highway 78 (23rd St.) at South Woodbury St. (entrance to HyVee and Discount Tire): full closure of the entrance from Mon., May 20 until Thu., May 24, for pavement work. The corresponding turn lanes from MO-78 to South Woodbury St. will also be closed.
JOHNSON COUNTY
Route AA at various locations: flagging operations throughout the week for pavement repair.
LAFAYETTE COUNTY
Route U bridge over South Davis Creek: flagging operation on Wed., May 22, from approximately 8 am until 4 pm, for bridge repair work.
PETTIS COUNTY
Crews will be performing flagging operations at various locations throughout the week for pavement repair. Scheduled areas include:
- Route F
- Route BB
RAY COUNTY
Route A at various locations: flagging operations on Mon., May 20, from approximately 7 am until 4 pm, for patching work.
Route T at various locations: flagging operations from Tue., May 21 until Thu., May 23, from approximately 7 am until 4 pm daily, for patching work.
Route D between Greenfield Rd and Grove Rd: full closure on Tue., May 21, from approximately 7 am until 4 pm, for culvert replacement work.
Route D between Murray Rd and Coon Branch Rd.: full closure on Wed., May 22, from approximately 7 am until 4 pm, for culvert replacement work.
SALINE COUNTY
Crews will be performing flagging operations at various locations throughout the week for pavement repair. Scheduled areas include:
- Missouri Highway 127
- Route P
- Route TT
- Route W
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
