Resurfacing to begin on Route 7 in mid-May

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo A pavement improvement project is set to begin in mid-May on Missouri Route 7 from U.S. Route 65 in Benton County to Missouri Route 5 in Camden County. Construction crews will begin the resurfacing work in Benton County on Monday, May 20, 2024.

For the duration of the project, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, one lane of Route 7 will be closed in two-mile segments. Flaggers with a pilot car will direct motorists through the work zone. The construction crew will start at U.S. Route 65, just south of Warsaw, and progress east to Route 5 in Greenview.

This project also includes resurfacing Routes NN, DD, and Z in Camden County. The schedule for these routes has yet to be determined. The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded a $5,317,932.20 contract to Capital Paving and Construction, LLC for this work, which is anticipated to be completed by Nov. 1, 2024, by contract.

All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
