Where: U.S. Route 54 over Little Dry Wood Creek west of Nevada
When: Beginning Week of Monday, May 13
Details: Project was originally scheduled to begin back in March 2024, but construction delays postponed the project
Traffic impacts:
- Beginning the week of May 13, contractor crews will build temporary crossover lanes in the median, taking 3-4 weeks to complete
- Once the crossover lanes are completed, contractor crews will CLOSE the westbound bridge and shift traffic head-to-head on the eastbound lanes until early August
- When contractor completes work on westbound bridge, the eastbound bridge will CLOSE and traffic shifted head-to-head on the westbound lanes for duration of the project
- Drivers should expect traffic delays
- Watch for equipment and crews entering and exiting the work zone
- Signs and message boards will alert drivers approaching the work zone
- Drivers should consider alternate routes during the project
- Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts
