MoDOT to Close Lanes of Route 67 Bridge Over Route 180 in Preparation of Rebuilding Bridge

NORTH ST. LOUIS COUNTY – Motorists who travel the Route 67 (Lindbergh) bridge over Route 180 (St. Charles Rock Rd.) may want to consider an alternate route.  Starting Monday, May 6 at 8 p.m., crews will close one northbound and one southbound lane of Route 67 in preparation of rebuilding the bridge.

The Route 67 bridge over Route 180 will be rebuilt in two phases. The northbound side of the bridge will close first, and traffic will shift to southbound lanes – one lane of traffic in each direction.  Once completed, the second phase of the project will shift traffic to the northbound side of the bridge while crews work on the southbound side.

The new bridge deck is expected to be completed in December 2024, except for the painting of the girders.  The girder painting will be completed by June 2025.

Motorists should also be aware that beginning Friday, May 10 at 7:30 p.m., all lanes of Route 180 under the Route 67 bridge will be closed through Monday, May 13 at 5:30 a.m., to allow crews to demolish the northbound portion of the Route 67 bridge. During the closure of Route 180, signage will direct drivers through detours.

All work is weather permitting.
