UPDATED: Scheduled ramp and lane closure for EB I-70 and Charlotte/14th Street, NOW-May 15

Crews will CLOSE the left lane on EB I-70 over Troost and ramp from EB I-70 to Charlotte/14th St.

JACKSON COUNTY – Crews will perform bridge deck repairs on EB I-70 over Troost in the southeast corner of the downtown loop. This is a continuation of the bridge deck repairs on EB I-70 over Troost. Crews recently completed work in the right lane on EB I-70 over Troost in mid-April.

UPDATED: The following closures will take place from NOW to approximately May 15

  • Crews will CLOSE the ramp from Charlotte/14th Street to EB I-70.
  • EB I-70 will be reduced to one lane over Troost. The left lane will be closed.

This will be a complete closure of the ramp. Motorists are advised to plan ahead and be vigilant of work in the area. All work is weather permitting.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
