Scheduled closures on Platte County Route Z for culvert replacement work, April 22-May 1

PLATTE COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be closing portions of Platte County Route Z between Mon. April 22 and Wed., May 1, from approximately 7 am until 5:30pm each day, for culvert replacement work. All work is weather depending.

  • Mon., April 22: full closure .10 mile west of Platte County Route DD.
  • Wed., April 24: full closure at intersection of Route Z and Route DD. Route DD will be closed, but Route Z will remain open.
  • Thu., April 25: full closure at 100 yards east of Route DD.
  • Mon., April 29: full closure at Davis Chapel Rd. There will be a flagging operation on Route Z, but Davis Chapel Rd will be closed.
  • Tue., April 30: full closure .10 mile east of Sherwood Forest Rd.
  • Wed., May 1: full closure just east of Snook Rd.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
